The OJAs honor innovative work in multimedia storytelling across the spectrum of digital platforms. This year, 10 awards are offered with a total of nearly $33,000 in prize money, courtesy of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and the Gannett Foundation, including three $2,500 awards for innovative investigative work.

Take advantage of our expanded categories this year and submit a project that demonstrates excellence in digital reporting.

Launched in May 2000, the OJAs are administered by the Online News Association, in partnership with the University of Miami School of Communication. This year’s honorees will be announced on Sept. 22, the final night of ONA12, the Online News Association Conference and Awards Banquet, held Sept. 20-22 in San Francisco.
