If you couldn’t make it to San Francisco for the 2012 Online News Association Conference and Awards Banquet, we’re bringing the conference to you, thanks to a ton of great media generated over the three days. We’ve pulled together a mega-post including links to presentation slides, videos, illustrations and more.
Session slides: We’ve gathered available slides and links to wrap-ups and resource pages from presenters and posted to each session page on the ONA12 site.
Session videos: Unedited videos of all of the keynotes, most of the Friday and Saturday general sessions (in four tracks) and the Online Journalism Awards dinner are available on each session page. We’re in post-production now and will be posting high-quality videos on our Vimeo account, so follow @ONA on Twitter for updates.
Session audio: Sound recordings of all of the keynotes, the all-day Law School for Digital Journalists on Thursday and selected sessions are available on ONA’s Soundcloud page.
Livenotes: Some participants chose to compile their notes in collaborative documents, including Reuter’s Anthony De Rosa, Newsweek’s Brian Ries and USC Annenberg’s Robert Hernandez.
All ONA live blogs, posted by an excellent volunteer curation team, are on session pages (along with session videos).
Keynotes: Jose Antonio Vargas opened ONA12 with a request to media organizations — specifically noting the New York Times and Associated Press —to discontinue the use of the word “illegal immigrant.” Politico, ABC, and Poynter covered the speech, and the New York Times Public Editor, Margaret Sullivan, responded. Twitter CEO Dick Costolo made headlines when he announced during his keynote that Twitter users will be able to download their tweets by the end of the year. Reuters, TechCrunch, and GigaOm were just a few that filed stories. NASA’s JPL social team impressed social media editors and journalists alike during their Friday night keynote with their engagement strategy for the Mars Curiosity rover.
Great round-up posts: Poynter pulled together 12 bite-size takeaways from ONA12, Gannett compiled the best technology tools highlighted at the conference, Journalism.co.uk pulled out ten lessons for journalists, and ONA Northwestern did a great highlight post.

From the Student Newsroom: The #ONA12 Student Newsroom provided great 24/7 coverage, including videos, photos and interactives. Be sure to check out their video confessionals with attending journalists and excellent coverage of the 2012 Online Journalism Awards.
A sea of tweets: Craig Kanalley took a deep dive into more than 34,000 tweets from #ONA12, highlighting the top tweeters and topics throughout the conference.
The “slow-tweet movement”: Nieman Lab asked attendees to hand write their tweets and collected images of the notes.

From the ONA12 floor: Our super-social attendees tagged dozens of great posts on Tumblr with ONA12, and at least two great Tumblrs were born out of the conference: Gannett staff created their own Tumblr filled with content and Julia Chan documented the folks in fashionable frames. Head to Instagram to see more than 900 photos with the #ONA12 tag, showcasing sessions, meetups, details from the conference and shots from San Francisco.

MJ Bear Fellowship: Our month-long campaign to fund the MJ Bear Fellowship, now in its second year of providing mentoring and support to young innovators, kicked off at ONA12. Help support early-career journalists by donating.
AP Google Scholars: Our first class presented on what it means to be a new media journalist today. The AP-Google Journalism and Technology Scholarship provides six students with an award of $20,000 each. We’re now accepting applications for the 2013-2014 school year.
