In memory of Jeanette Bear
Our hearts go out to the Bear and Carpenter families on the loss of Jeanette Bear, who passed away Dec. 16 at age 85. Jeanette was the mother of ONA founding member MJ Bear, whose legacy lives on through her MJ Bear Fellowships. The family’s legacy of generosity has resulted in $100,000 in funds to identify and support promising young journalists, and over $800 in memorial contributions. We thank them for thinking of our community during this difficult time.
