We’re hiring a Community Manager for the ONA Local program, which connects journalists through networking and training, thanks to a significant grant from the Knight Foundation. You’ll work with our 50+ groups and lead the expansion of the program, helping to get new groups started and assessing how to better support journalists organizing in their communities. Welcome to new ONA Local groups in Montreal and Tucson
A warm welcome to our two newest Local groups, both hitting the ground running. ONA Montreal will host its first event Nov. 5 at Midway Tavern and is our first group planning events for both English- and French-speaking journalists in Canada. ONA at the University of Arizona has already funded a project to use 360 video to cover the All Souls Procession in Tucson and is diving into reporting projects. Also, welcome back to ONA South Florida, which hosted its first event in 2015 and just started a new Facebook group to stay connected.
