Announcing the inaugural ONA Journalism Mentorship Collaborative Fellows

By on February 28, 2018

We’re excited to announce 16 fellows as part of the ONA Journalism Mentorship Collaborative, an open network of newsrooms committed to diversifying their organizations through mentorship programs. More than 100 organizations are participating in the Collaborative; of those, nearly 60 people applied for a fellowship and funding opportunity to explore innovative ideas in mentorship programs.

Working with a team of six coaches and three advisors, led by NPR / Next Generation Radio project founder Doug Mitchell, ONA has selected 16 fellows as part of this inaugural class. The fellows will receive:

  • Funding up to $5,000 in support of their mentorship program ideas
  • Travel support for a two-day, in-depth training with our professional coaching team in St. Louis, March 19-20
  • Virtual coaching support through the summer of 2018
  • An opportunity to speak at ONA18, Sept. 13-15 in Austin, Texas
