About the Project
Sergio Peçanha combines words, drawings, and approachable graphics to pioneer a unique and frequently-amusing brand of modern commentary: A fun-yet-serious take on how cows are better represented in Congress than people; a cheeky look at dating during the pandemic; and a meditation on what confinement during the coronavirus pandemic can teach us. In his series Absurd America, Peçahna examines the full range of idiosyncrasies of life in the United States and asks: Does life really have to be this way?
