ONA DC: How audience engagement teams can adjust to changes at Twitter and Meta

An ONA Local event, hosted by ONA DC

Amid mass layoffs, strategic shifts and continued platform updates at Twitter and Meta since last fall, many newsrooms’ audience engagement strategies have had to shift significantly in 2023.

How is your audience engagement team adjusting to these changes? Join your friends at ONA DC to talk about what’s working so far, what we’ve learned and where we’re experimenting for reaching and engaging with our communities.

You’ll hear from audience teams at a few DC-area newsrooms in fast-paced lightning talks, leave with some new ideas and inspiration about how your team can adjust its own workflows and practices — and enjoy the company of other DC-area ONAers! — at this in-person event.

How to Get There:  Please use the M Street entrance,1600 M Street NW. Walk through the courtyard off M Street and enter the doors on the left.  The meet-up will be in the building with the address 1600 M Street NW. You will check in for the event here. We will be hosting the event in Rooms 2209 + 2210.

The Google address for National Geographic is 1145 17th Street NW, which is also the museum entrance. If you do use this entrance, staff will direct you to the M Street building entrance.

Health and safety: This event will be a mask-friendly environment and we will make masks available for anyone who requests one. Please be respectful of attendees choosing to wear a mask to this event.
