  When

Wednesday, Apr. 22, 2020
6:30 pm

An ONA Local event, hosted by ONA NYC

Watch a video recording of this session.

It’s impossible to deny that things have changed—a lot. Much of the world’s media is operating from their living rooms, beds and makeshift home offices. Some are still staffing production booths and hosting live programs. Others have lost their jobs and are seeking work. With any change comes adjustment, as well as a mental and emotional toll. This change is bigger than most, which is why ONA NYC has invited a panel of experts and members of the news business who, while dealing with this “new normal” are finding unique ways to make a difference.

We are also adjusting, so this event will be hosted on Zoom. You’ll leave with tips on coping in this environment and hacks that might make things a little easier.

Panelists:
*Kari Cobham, Senior Associate Director, Rosalynn Carter Fellowships for Mental Health Journalism and Media, The Carter Center, @KariWrites
*Dr James Rodriguez, PhD, MSW, Director of Trauma-Informed Services at the NYU McSilver Institute and New York State-licensed clinical social worker and psychologist, @nyumcsilver
*Benét J. Wilson, Credit Cards Editor at The Points Guy, @AvQueenBenet
*Moderator: Emma Cillekens, Multiplatform Editor, Barron’s, @emmacillekens

Thank you to Muck Rack for their ongoing support.
