Digital journalists: What do you want to learn this year?
In the past few years, ONA Philadelphia has hosted lightning talks on community engagement; a panel on fighting misinformation; many casual happy hours; an open discussion on pay in the industry; a tour of a local typewriter shop; a community-focused newsroom crawl; group visits to Phillies games; and more. In 2020, we want to do more of that — but also host trainings, engage the public, get strangers to talk to each other about best practices.
On March 10, escape the cold and join other local journalists over drinks for a toasty conversation on what you want to see from ONA Philly in 2020.
Come with ideas about how ONA Philly can better serve you this year, and find out how you can get more involved in the group made for and by local digital journalists. What worked and what didn’t last year? What kind of events would you like to see? We’ll invite you to write down your ideas, but come prepared to chat IRL, too.
