Working in today’s news media requires journalists understand how to do more than just cover the “news of the day.” Today’s journalists need to understand how to apply audience engagement to their news coverage and story choices and balance those decisions against journalistic ethics. It’s a tough balancing act sometimes, but our group of panelists will help journalists understand the business side of journalism and how to leverage this knowledge to help grow careers and develop quality news coverage that achieves a desired audience. We’ll explore new revenue and subscription models and help journalists understand where the business is headed and how journalism and journalism careers will evolve in a digital society.
