Carolyn Powers is director of U.S. programs at Internews, an international media support organization that helps local partners provide trustworthy, high-quality news and information for their communities. In 2013, Powers helped establish Internews’ first program in the United States, Listening Post New Orleans. In 2017, she co-founded the Listening Post Collective at Internews, an initiative that works with local partners to develop news and information solutions that help communities thrive. Powers has over a decade of media support experience and leads the operations and strategic direction of all US-based projects. She is a graduate of Stonehill College.
