Kim Perry is the director of international strategy and operations for The New York Times. She joined The Times in 2015 to lead the creation of the Digital Transition team (now called the Newsroom Development and Support team). Under her leadership, the team played a leading role in driving change — in how the newsroom is structured, how it measures success, how our journalists tell stories and the tools they use to work together and in 24/7/365 newsroom support. Before joining The Times, Kim created and led the newsroom training and development team at NPR headquarters and worked with the member station newsrooms. Previously she was a content producer at The San Diego Union-Tribune, reported at The Modesto Bee and before that worked as a stringer at The Associated Press in Alaska.
