This year was my first time at the Online News Association conference. With over 2,000 journalists in attendance, I thought it would be fun to ask a few of them some questions:

  • Where’s the farthest you’ve traveled for a story, and what was it about?
  • What’s your favorite blog?
  • Who’s your favorite superhero?
  • And finally: What’s the best piece of advice you have received so far in your journalism career?

Thanks to the following journalists:

Val Hoepner, CEO of Val Hoepner Media and Consulting

Beatriz Arias, partnership manager of news for Twitter Spain

Tom Hudson, vice president of news at WLRN Public Media

Ron Brackett, managing editor for TampaBay.com

Giles Wilson, features editor at BBC News in London

Cherilyn Ireton, head of the World Editors’ Forum

Adam Pines, senior director of programming and growth for AOL.com

Aaron Edwards, mobile editor for BuzzFeed News
