The first day of the Online News Association Conference was held in Philadelphia on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2023 at The Marriott Hotel. Nearly 1,500 attendees came from more than 30 countries to attend the conference with lectures, sessions and talks featuring speakers such as LaSharah S. Bunting, CEO and executive director of ONA, Niketa Patel, senior director at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and Diana Abeleven, senior manager of Canva.
