Rebecca Skippage established and leads BBC Monitoring's Disinformation Team and is an Editor with the BBC-wide Anti-Disinformation Unit. They cover and uncover global disinformation trends, verify and debunk viral social media content, and create digital material to help people spot and avoid bad information. A journalist for more than 20 years, Rebecca is a regular contributor at international discussions on our evolving information ecosystem. She has recently returned from a fellowship at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism in Oxford, where she focused on the role of public service media in the fight against misinformation.
