Your badge
Wear your badge and keep it visible at all times throughout the conference. Your badge provides access to the conference programming and contributes to the safety of fellow attendees.
Upon arrival, head to the Westin Bonaventure’s 2nd floor to pick up your badge. Access the 2nd floor by using the escalator past Hotel Registration in the lobby, the ADA elevator between Hotel Registration and bell desk, or the Green □ or Yellow ◊ Tower stairs. (View venue map)

Covid-19 protocols
Be sure to fully review how we’re managing COVID–19 and what to expect, including:

COVID–19 vaccine requirement: Upon arrival each day, all attendees will proceed to the registration area through a health screening checkpoint to show proof of vaccination and confirm you’re not experiencing symptoms. Preview the acceptable proof of vaccination and health questions. Since access to booster shots vary, we ask that you follow recommendations where you live and get up to date on vaccines before you attend ONA22. In the U.S., bivalent boosters that offer protection against the BA.4 and BA.5 Omicron variants are now available.

Masks: Well-fitting face masks that cover the nose and mouth are required at all indoor events. Pack enough masks to last you the four days of the conference, plus a few extras just in case!

Testing: We strongly encourage testing within 48 hours of your first day at ONA22 and each day you are on site. We can provide self-test kits on request.

Change of plans: If you test positive within five days of the event, or have been in close contact with someone with COVID–19, please do not attend ONA22 in person. Contact registration@journalists.org to switch your registration to a virtual-only pass.
If you test positive at any time during or immediately after attending ONA22, let us know by emailing safety@journalists.org. This email is forwarded to Chief Knowledge Officer Trevor Knoblich and Director of Programs Meghan Murphy. We also ask that you report the case to public health departments to help officials track case load, and inform anyone who was in close contact with you.
