Alison Schary

Alison Schary is an attorney in the Washington, DC office of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP and serves as outside general counsel for ONA. Alison represents and advises clients on a wide range of issues in media and intellectual property law, including defamation, privacy, copyright, newsgathering, and First Amendment matters. She also provides counseling and content review to clients who produce and distribute a wide range of content, including documentaries, docudramas, docuseries, podcasts, feature films, news programs, scripted series, and variety/comedy shows. Alison’s client base includes traditional and digital media organizations, technology companies, filmmakers, reporters, nonprofits, and advocacy organizations.
