Gavin Off has been a data reporter at the Charlotte Observer since 2011. He specializes in data analysis, primarily for long-term investigations. Prior to joining the Observer, Off worked as data editor at the Tulsa World, data reporter for Scripps Howard News Service and as a data analyst for the National Institute for Computer-Assisted Reporting. He also teaches data journalism at the University of South Carolina and Queens University of Charlotte.
