What to expect from ONA23: Onward
- All presentations will be given in English.
- All of Onward’s programming will be virtual-only and live-streamed, and also available in the event platform for archived viewing later each day, accessible for 90 days. To access live or archived sessions, a viewer must be registered for ONA23 and can use their personal login and password emailed by registration@journalists.org.
- Live AI-powered closed captioning will be available for all Onward sessions, with transcripts available following.

What to expect from ONA23: Philadelphia
- Most presentations will be given in English.

- Livestreams, video archives, audio recordings and transcripts will be provided for featured and sponsored sessions. Video archives will appear shortly after sessions end. Audio recordings will be available the following week.
- Transcripts are created by software which uses artificial intelligence to convert speech-to-text. We are also taking steps to clean up any errors produced by automated transcripts and closed captioning, with the goal of having accurate versions within a few business days after each session ends. We will post them as we complete them, in chronological order. Please note closed captioning may not have sound effects spelled out.
On site at the Philadelphia Marriott
- All floors at our host hotel are served by elevators.
- The upward-bound escalator to the third floor is under construction. Use the well-marked staircases or one of the two banks of elevators to navigate this detour.
- All official ONA events are held on property, including our welcome reception. Please note that partner organizations may host off-site events at venues of varying proximities to the host hotel.

- A caregiver / nursing room will be provided. Please note guests will need to sign up in advance for a time. This space is available to anyone who needs a private place to pump or breastfeed. ONA will stock it with water, a refrigerator and snacks.
