Sisi Wei is the editor-in-chief at The Markup. Before joining The Markup, she was Co-Executive Director of OpenNews. As part of her work, Sisi founded the DEI Coalition For Anti-Racist, Equitable, And Just Newsrooms. She was the Assistant Managing Editor at ProPublica from 2018-2020 where she co-edited a Pulitzer Prize winning investigation. Previously, Sisi has worked at The Washington Post. The Wall Street Journal, and the Associated Press.
