Yvonne Latty is a Professor of Practice at Temple University’s Klein College of Media and Communication and the Director of the Logan Center for Urban Investigative Reporting. The center’s focus is community based investigative reporting driven by empathy and with a focus on solutions journalism. Latty began in July of 2022 as the inaugural director. The center’s multimedia investigative work has won multiple awards that include an Edward R. Murrow Award and several Keystone Media Awards. Latty started her career in newspapers, but has since written books, produced award-winning documentaries and podcasts. Previously she served as a journalism professor and multimedia graduate director at New York University’s Arthur Carter Journalism Institute.
