Volunteers work alongside the most innovative people in journalism, and finish the conference with the satisfaction that they&#8217;ve helped successfully support one of the biggest events in the field.<\/p>\n<p>Selected applicants will receive complimentary registration to ONA24.<\/p>\n<p><em>While the initial application process for volunteering at ONA24 closed in May, we are accepting waitlist applications in a <a href=\"#apply\">streamlined form below<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Volunteer roles<\/h3>\n<p>Event volunteers work eight-hour shifts helping support pre-conference preparations, registration, sessions, special events and other important aspects of ONA24.<\/p>\n<h3>Frequently Asked Questions<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Do volunteers receive a pass to ONA24?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Yes, each of our volunteers will receive one complimentary, non-transferable registration to attend ONA24.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I have already volunteered at several ONA conferences, what does this mean for my chances of getting selected again?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All applicants are considered regardless of their previous involvement with ONA in any capacity.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are volunteers able to attend educational sessions?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Volunteers are more than welcome to attend sessions and events outside of your scheduled volunteer hours. Some volunteer shifts also require you to tune in to a session as part of your responsibilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Am I guaranteed a spot on the volunteer team?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After May 30, we will evaluate volunteer applications. Once all anticipated shifts are filled, we\u2019ll move applicants to a waitlist.
