Flying to/from New Orleans (MSY)

Getting to the hotel on public transit from the airport:

You have the option to take the Jefferson Transit (JeT) E1 Airport Express bus from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) to downtown New Orleans. The journey takes about 50 minutes, depending on traffic.

To take public transit from MSY to the Hyatt Regency New Orleans:

  1. Locate the JeT E1 bus stop

    • The bus stop is on the second level of the airport, near the rental car facility. Follow airport signs for “Public Transit.”

  2. Paying for your fare

    • The fare for the JeT E1 bus is $2.00 (exact change required).
    • You can also pay via the Le Pass app (available on iOS and Android), which allows mobile payments for both JeT and RTA transit services.

  3. Board the JeT E1 bus

    • The E1 Airport Express bus runs approximately every hour from early morning to late evening.
    • Stay on the bus until Elk Place at Canal Street—this is the closest stop to the hotel.

  4. Walk to the Hyatt Regency New Orleans

    • From Elk Place at Canal Street, the hotel is about 0.5 miles (0.8 km) away. Walking takes about 10 minutes.
    • Alternatively, you can take the RTA streetcar (Canal Street line) or a quick taxi/rideshare to the hotel.
