Agerenesh Ashagre is an Ethiopian, Louisiana-born podcast producer based in Brooklyn, NY. Her work centers Black voices in shows about society and arts/culture. Currently, she is a senior managing producer at Pineapple Street Studios overseeing shows such as HBO’s Lovecraft Country Radio and Netflix’s Okay, Now Listen. Previously, she produced work at NPR, BuzzFeed, The Ringer, among others. Her latest venture involves entering the children’s media space to ensure that kids of color hear themselves represented in audio.
