Ann created the video vision for The New York Times, founded its digital video department and developed its award-winning programs on television and all digital platforms. She currently oversees partnerships in video, television and film, creating new models for curation, distribution, monetization and growth. In 2006, she founded The New York Times video department, which has grown from a small experimental group into a robust video operation. Under Ms. Derry’s supervision, The New York Times video and television programs have won multiple prizes, including Emmy, duPont, Polk, Peabody, Overseas Press Club, Webby and ONA awards. Times video and television programs have contributed to numerous Pulitzer prize-winning projects.
