Cara Anthony is a Midwest correspondent for Kaiser Health News. A native of East St. Louis, Ill., her work has been published by The New York Times, Time Magazine and National Public Radio. Cara co-moderated USA Today Network events during the 2016 election, and her six-part Belleville News-Democrat series titled “Then I Knew” about racism in America was nominated in 2018 for a Mid-America Emmy. She’s also a 2019 Women’s Leadership Accelerator alum.
