Chaseedaw Giles is a creative storyteller with a passion for the performance arts. As a writer and social media professional she has been working for Kaiser Health News (KHN) since 2017. She started as the newsroom’s first social media manager, and was promoted to digital strategy and audience engagement editor in 2021. Giles works across the health care and health policy newsroom to promote KHN original content, find new ways to educate the public on the complexities of the American health care system, amplify the work of KHN’s reporting staff using the latest social media software, and keep staff current with the latest developments in social media. Giles’ KHN bylines can be found in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, NPR, and more, with stories that focus on the intersection of social media, sub-culture, diversity and health care.
