Cherise Seucharan is a journalist at the Star Vancouver with a focus on public safety, health, and civil liberties, with a emphasis on in-depth reporting that elevates diverse voices and perspectives.
Cherise is also the the organizer of the Vancouver chapter of Canadian Journalists of Colour, national network of BIPOC journalists focusing on support, collaboration, and mentorship within the industry.
She is originally from Toronto and worked in the field of digital rights and free expression before moving to Vancouver to attend the UBC School of Journalism. She has an undergraduate degree in International Relations from the University of Toronto.
