Doug Mitchell is the Founder and Project Director of NPR’s Next Generation Radio. The program is officially 20 years old this year. Doug is a program consultant for the International Women’s Media Foundation and is Chair of the Board for the Center for Collaborative Journalism at Mercer University Also, he is a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Press Institute. Doug mentors to two women of color who have started up their own podcast companies and is the advisor to the CEO of “A Beautiful Mind Foundation,” a non-profit that provides small grants to culturally competent mental health organizations.
