Ellie has worked in journalism organizations in the U.S. and abroad for close to a decade. A native of the midwest U.S., she has lived in New York off and on for more than fifteen years, including for undergrad and j-school degrees. She lived and worked in Hong Kong for more than 6 years, including time at the Wall Street Journal curating mobile and web content and copy editing articles, before returning to New York to helm the WSJ’s daily flagship newsletter. Currently she works at Hearst Newspapers as the Director of Newsletters, collaborating and strategizing with multiple newsrooms across the country on several dozen email newsletters. In her spare time she loves learning about history and architecture, going to concerts and making pottery.
