My name is Kassidy Jack, and I am a graduating senior at Clark Atlanta University. I have a significant amount of experience in digital journalism. I am a writer for Atlanta’s Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists online publication, The Byline. I have learned to professionally schedule, conduct, and transcribe interviews in this position. I also interned with Scholastic Publishing Company during the summer of 2021. I worked with their classrooms magazines. Since that internship ended, I have maintained my relationship with the company as a freelance writer and video editor.
Currently, I am embarking on the end of a fantastic internship with MSNBC. I have worked on their weekend team this spring and have learned to log video and gain experience in software such as Media Central, iNews, and SnapStream. This semester I also accepted a part-time role with the Black Girl Social Club. I served as the organization’s Digital Communications Assistant. In this position, I create and post content for the organization’s social media to help strengthen audience engagement.
