Katlyn is the data reporter and news apps director for Outlier Media, where she focuses on how, together, news consumer feedback and public data can better describe housing issues across Detroit. Before moving to Michigan, Katlyn was a fellow on the news apps desk at ProPublica Illinois, where the bulk of her work was in interactive mapping. In 2018, she received her B.A. and M.A. in Communication from the Stanford Journalism Program.
