Layla Mashkoor is a news journalist in Storyful’s Hong Kong bureau, where she works on the frontlines of the fight against misinformation and disinformation. Layla discovers and verifies breaking news videos and conversations, provides news analysis and monitors the social web for coordinated disinformation campaigns. Layla has trained journalists from across Asia in verification principles and practices. She joined Storyful in 2016 from Toronto, where she previously worked at VICE and as a freelance documentary filmmaker.
