Marie heads CUNY J+, a series of digital skills workshops for journalists at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism. She was previously a program officer at the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation in Miami where she oversaw a portfolio of journalism and innovation grants. She started her career in journalism in El Paso, Texas, as a daily newspaper reporter.
