Melissa Prax is a multimedia reporter at Newsy, a multi-platform video news company. Melissa reports on women’s issues and gender-based violence in the U.S. and around the globe. Before joining Newsy in 2015, Melissa was a production assistant at the Columbus, Ohio, public media station. She has a bachelor’s degree in public affairs journalism from the Ohio State University. Outside of reporting, she enjoys coding (completed Northwestern University’s full-stack bootcamp in 2018), working out and indoor gardening.
