Molly Greene is the strategy & legal director at The Appeal, a worker-led nonprofit newsroom dedicated to exposing how the U.S. criminal legal system fails to keep people safe and perpetuates harm. She originally joined The Justice Collaborative/The Appeal as a lead strategist and spent time as a legal researcher and analyst, editorial writer, and senior editor. Molly has focused her career as an attorney on advocating for government accountability, dismantling systems of oppression, and building platforms to elevate underrepresented communities and individuals. She previously served in director and senior roles at The American Constitution Society and the Los Angeles City Ethics Commission. Before law school, Molly spent five years as a researcher, policy advisor, and community advocate for sustainable food systems domestically and abroad. She received her BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and her JD from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.
