Peg Achterman teaches the digital and multimedia journalism curriculum, along with advising The Falcon at Seattle Pacific. She spent 17 years in the local television news business – most at KING Television in Seattle as a TV News Photographer, Field Producer, and Editor. Highlights include regional National Press Photographer Association awards and service as a national judge for the NPPA Photographer of the Year and Station of the Year competitions. Achterman earned her PhD at the University of Washington and her research examines both product and cultural changes within print and broadcast newsrooms as they incorporate multimedia and mobile into daily news work.
