Taylor Blatchford is the engagement editor for The Seattle Times’ investigative team. Her work focuses on communicating directly with readers, involving them in the reporting process and developing digital strategies for the Times’ watchdog work. She’s passionate about student journalism and writes The Lead, a weekly newsletter for college and high school journalists, in partnership with Poynter. A graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, she’s now earning a master’s degree in journalism education at Kent State University.
