Over the last five years, Tim has employed design thinking, along with various product-based methodologies, to improve both internal and external user experiences at The Washington Post. Always looking to push “the form” forward, he’s invested heavily in the streamlining and optimizing of digital storytelling for both editorial and branded content purposes. In August, Tim brought his combined editorial, engineering, product and business background to Gannett, where he is focused on CMS-focused software development for all of Gannett’s news properties and optimizing an ever-growing portfolio of public-facing web and app experiences. Before his time at Gannett and The Washington Post, he’s served as a design editor and creative director at news organizations along the East Coast. Tim has also served as a lecturer teaching journalism and business-focused product development at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, his alma mater.
