Presented at ONA16

USA TODAY launched a 10-event “variety show” format series of gatherings composed of one-on-one interviews, storytelling and performances. In doing so, it  created experiential opportunities for its wider community to connect, and also enlightened a new audience about the biggest issues facing potential voters going into the election. We’ll discuss the engagement side of events — the types of emotional and dedicated connections you can develop with an audience by hosting these types of events, and offer practical tips and suggestions for what it takes to pull off an event of your own.
