In order for women to contribute diverse perspectives and influence news coverage, they need to be free of the threats and harassment that prevent them from doing their jobs.

Confronting this central issue of the internet age requires a custom-built infrastructure. With dedicated experts leading small group conversations, we’ll workshop a rough guide of strategies and tips for dealing with safety issues online.

Note: This session is intended for anyone who risks online trolling and harassment, and we will incorporate specifics for women of color, who have a distinct set of challenges.

This session is designed for:

  • Journalists, particularly women, who need to be able to promote and discuss their work without harassment
  • Newsroom leaders interested in protecting and empowering their most vulnerable staff
  • Anyone who would like to enjoy a more diverse, equal and safe social media space
