OMGWTFBBQ Breaking News without Breaking Your Team

Presented at ONA18
September 12, 2018
More from this event →

Your biggest night of the year may be planned, like an awards show or election, or unplanned, like a natural disaster or political scandal. In either case, high-pressure, high-visibility events are make-or-break for newsrooms. Organization, communication and preparation can make all the difference, so we’ll lead a fun, interactive exercise to help you figure out workflows, as well as identify and address challenges before they become problems.

Please note: this session has limited capacity and requires an RSVP to attend. RSVPs closed 48 hours in advance. A full-conference ONA18 badge is required for entry.

This session is designed for:

  • Anyone up at night worried about their newsroom’s technology stack
  • Journalists working on building out high-visibility stories and events
  • Newsrooms interested in doing the legwork to be prepared for anything, anytime

Speakers

Hamilton Boardman
Senior Editor, The New York Times
