WANTED: Journalists Ready to Actively Earn Audience Trust
Don’t think of distrust as a big-picture industry problem. Think of it as something YOU can address now by making trust-building part of your day-to-day routine. What are the complaints you hear most from your community? Bring 'em. You’ll hear from newsrooms about what has worked for them, and you'll leave this session with ideas for addressing your challenges head-on. It's time to create a new relationship with your community, and it's up to you to do it.

Speakers: Joy Mayer  and Lynn
Joy Mayer and Lynn have worked with 53 newsrooms as part of the Trusting News project and can't wait to share what they're learning.

How are Unconference pitches selected:

  1. Registered ONA18 attendees pitch ideas throughout the summer
  2. ONA18 attendees vote on Thursday and Friday of the conference for topics they feel should be added to the schedule
  3. Successful submitters present on Saturday
